Which AMP1 do you use?
For a Dimebag Darrel sound with the AMP1 Mercury Edition, we recommend the Classic channel. You'll get the best results with a metal guitar with humbuckers (active or passive), but it's possible to get ballpark tones with other guitar types, too. Depending on your guitar and pickup type, you may have to make a few compromises and tweaks to your settings:

Underestimated component: the speaker cabinet!
It's important to note that your amplifier is only one part of your overall guitar sound. The speaker you use has an equally big impact on the sound. Because of this, the settings shown above may have to be adjusted depending on the kind of loudspeaker you're using in your cabinet/IR/plugin.
