While we didn't develop the AMP1 specifically for use with acoustic guitars, we have received a lot of positive feedback from users who use it in this way. Whatever you like is allowed, so just try it out!
We can give you two general recommendations:
- Use the amp's Clean channel. You usually get the best sound results when you turn down the mids.
- Be careful with active pickups - the AMP1 can withstand an input voltage of up to 11 volts. However, since the circuit was developed for electric guitar, it begins to overdrive/distort at a certain volume. If you don't want this, you should either turn down the volume control of the guitar pickup and/or the CLEAN volume control of the AMP1. It is important to know that when you turn down the CLEAN Volume, the amount of highs in the signal increases.
